Venue Highlight: Orlando Shakespeare Theater

The Orlando Shakespeare Theater is located close to downtown. The setting is elegant and full of culture. They have multiple locations to choose from and one to fit ever event. It is a beautiful setting for your wedding.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater has answered a few questions for us to help you see how events work at this venue.

What is your maximum capacity?
Seated dinner style is 80ppl in the Patron’s Room, Theater Style 365. We offer 8 different space, mostly theater spaces but also have a lovely outdoor courtyard and small reception room.

What types of events do you do most often?
Theatrical Events, Corporate Parties, Wedding Receptions and Ceremonies, Award Functions, Meetings and Much More!

What’s included in your basic rental package?
Tables and Chairs, Manager on Duty and Technical help if using a theater space. We rent the space per the hour.

What kind of add-on items does your venue offer that are not in the basic rental price?
No add-ons, but happy to help recommend vendors to help you acquire anything you need.

When can vendors come in to set up and deliver items?
Day of event normally 2-4 hours prior. We work hard with every client on the timing of events and vendors arrivals.

Who will be supervising and troubleshooting the day of the event?
A hired Manager on Duty or Jamie Mykins the Operations Manager

Are there limitations on decorations?
Nothing may be attached to the walls of the space with out permission, no candles

Are any other events or weddings booked for the day of the event?
Possibly, because we are a theater we have performances Tuesday-Sunday. Working on timing of an event gives us the advantage of being able to do multiple events at the same time and keep the cost low.

Is there a coordinator available from the venue to help or do clients have to hire one separately?
Unfortunately we do not have an in house coordinator, this person would need to be hired separately.

Do clients need to use any specific vendors?
No, but $250 fee for using a caterer not on recommended list.

What information do you think clients often overlook in the contract?
Limited Liability Event Insurance that is required for any event held at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center.
