Not only is it time for our weekly recipe, but it is also National Tortilla Chip Day! Who doesn’t love snacking on Tortilla Chips and Salsa? Well, along with those chips & salsa, why not add some more crunchy goodness to your Friday night eats? Today we thought nachos would be the perfect recipe to celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day as well as the end of the week. They are perfect for Friday night because they are so easy and versatile- make them to fit your taste buds!
Easy Cheesy Nachos
1 (14.5) package of tortilla chips
2 (15 ounce) cans of chili without beans
1 pound process American cheese, cubed
4 green onions, sliced
1 medium tomato, chopped
1. Divide chips onto 6 plates and set aside. In a saucepan, warm chili until heated through. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, heat cheese over medium-low heat until melted, stirring frequently. Spoon chili over chips; drizzle with cheese. Sprinkle with onions and tomatoes.
