Maple Salmon

We shared a lot of scrumptious looking Valentine’s Day treats last post, and we realize we may have gone a little off track from our heart-healthy menus for the month of February! Don’t worry, today we are back on target and sharing a delicious Salmon recipe for you all to enjoy over the weekend.

Don’t feel guilty about enjoying some Valentine’s Day goodies next week though, it is a holiday after all! And remember dark chocolate is good for your heart! But for now, a healthy Salmon dinner recipe it is, so let’s get to it!
Maple Salmon
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon of garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 pound of salmon
1.       In a small bowl mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
2.       Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish and marinate salmon in the refrigerator, turning once.
3.       Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
4.       Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake the Salmon uncovered for about 20 minutes.
Add sides as you wish to make a complete meal. We suggest your favorite roasted vegetable and potatoes for a well balanced dish.
Have a fabulous weekend!
